Basic Handgun Class
CLASS IS FULL Purchasing a handgun and then getting your CCW does not mean you are ready to protect yourself or a loved one. Sadly, many people think that’s all they need so that’s all they do. They are wrong.
A person needs professional training, and then you need to practice what you have been taught. There are many companies that offer this kind of training all over the country and the prices and attitudes vary a lot.
My wife and I are NRA Certified Pistol Instructors, and we have a great staff. We teach CCW classes as well as live fire classes. Many times, when I ask a student when was the last time you were shooting, the answer I get back is, “When I got my CCW permit”. In Nevada that was 5 years ago. We have seen a lot of people that have qualified for their CCW and yet they are not comfortable or proficient with their gun.
Shooting is a very perishable skill; it goes away quite quickly. It’s not like riding a bike. A person who carries a gun should be at the range at least once a month shooting a box of ammo but, it’s no help if you’re practicing poor habits or your accuracy is not improving.
If you are a relatively new shooter, I would recommend you take our Basic Handgun Course. It’s a one-day class that is about 4-5 hours. We will give you a good foundation for you to build on. We will teach you to draw and holster safely, how to deal with malfunctions and how to shoot accurately. The cost is only $150.
After you have taken this class, you can move on to our 2-Day Defensive Handgun Class.
